Summary

Riku Aibetsu is constantly surrounded by unlucky situations. She is confronted by Iori Katanagi, a reclusive student who reveals that she is currently being haunted by a Phantom. After explaining what Phantoms are, Iori's sister, Yayoi Katanagi, calls him on the phone and helps them figure out the Phantom's location. Iori is initially reluctant to accompany Riku, but his sister leaves him no choice.

Upon arriving at the train station, where the Phantom is supposedly at, a lot of Phantoms surround their train car. This reveals Riku's passive ability of attracting Phantoms, making her a Beckoning Hand. Shortly after, the Phantom haunting Aibetsu, Okubi, attacks the girl. Iori saves her and unleashes Ongyoki, swiftly exorcising the Phantom.

After the fight is over, Yayoi calls her brother and orders him to protect Riku from now on, much to the boy's dismay.
